Gorgeous hotel, fairly clean, very kind staff. New-fashioned, tidy room with private bathrooms and a beautiful view of a field full of snow and very comfortable beds, and magnificent location. Very modern interior design.

A decent size room, I enjoyed the hotel!

Central location just next door to neat restaurants and grocery as well as rural Iceland, it was in a beautiful area. I found nice Subway by accident, it was around 10-15 minutes walk from the hotel.

The hotel's location is perfect, as it is within walking distance of all the main attractions and close to the ring road. It is also close to a supermarket and gas station, making it convenient for travelers. Additionally, the basic amenities in the room were minimal but provided everything one would need, and the staff was able to accommodate our request for a double bed.

The breakfast at this hotel left much to be desired, with the buffet often empty in the morning.

I had contemporary, reasonably sized room with good TV and nice comfortable beds, for instance.

Comfortable location in the fairly quiet area, close to the main attractions of the city and the restaurant. Also, easy to get to East Iceland Heritage Museum.

The room was spacious and compact here with a beautiful view of a field full of snow and very comfortable beds, as for instance. The location was marvellous and lovely for walking around East Iceland Heritage Museum. I appreciated that the hotel was 5 minutes drive from the airport.

The attention to detail at this hotel was commendable. Despite being a three-star establishment, they provided free onsite parking, which was very convenient for us as we were road tripping around Iceland. The location of the hotel was great, as it was not far from the main road. It made it easy for us to explore the surrounding area and visit local shops without any hassle. The rooms were comfortable and well-maintained. We were pleased to find that our room was located on the same floor as the lobby, making it easy to access all the hotel amenities.

Although the bathroom was compact, it had everything essential. However, the shower area being only enclosed by a curtain was a bit of an inconvenience as the bathroom floor would get wet.

The room was extremely spacious and compact and since it had down pillows I slept like a baby. Its location at a medium distance from Fardaga Waterfall was marvellous. The property was set in a beautiful area.

I had a comfortable stay at Hotel Valaskjalf. The beds were cozy and the room was clean. The highlight was the breakfast buffet spread, which had a fantastic variety of options, including lactose-free milk. The hotel's location was also convenient, with local shops just a short drive away. Despite a few minor drawbacks like dim lighting and a wet bathroom floor, I would definitely recommend staying here. I had a pleasant experience at Valaskjalf.

I recently stayed at Hotel Valaskjalf for one night on my way to the north. Despite being the only guest, they opened the hotel just for me and provided a generous breakfast. The hotel looked new and modern, and my room was clean and well-equipped, with coffee-making facilities. The spacious bathroom was a plus, and the WiFi was strong and fast. The free parking was convenient for my travels by car. I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely stop there again.
